How we determine pricing
Deck Size
The size of your deck is the biggest factor that will affect its cost. Bigger decks will cost more, not only because of the materials needed but also because you'll likely pay more for someone to design and build it for you.
Deck Style and Complexity
Think about whether you want your deck to be just a simple rectangle or square, or if you'd prefer a more unique shape that offers different entertaining options. Are you planning on adding a railing? Will it have different levels that need stairs? Is there an existing deck that needs to be removed? Is the underside of the deck skirted in? Will you need a deck permit? There are many things to think about when designing your deck, and each extra feature you choose will likely raise the cost.
Deck Materials Being Used
Pressure treated wood and composite are the most popular decking materials, with wood composite usually costing more. Composite materials really vary in price depending on the brand and quality. Other common decking options include cedar, PVC and hardwood materials.
Remember, each type of decking has its own advantages and disadvantages, and some materials will last longer and require less maintenance than others.
Deck rails
Does your deck require railings? Any deck over 24” in height requires a rail. There are many railing options available with the most common ones being wood rails or wood rails with aluminum balusters. Complete aluminum rails as well as glass railings have been gaining popularity in the last number of year. Addiontionally there are options for glass railings that eliminate the need of top and bottom rails to enhance the view from your deck.

Estimates
We may be able to give a ballpark idea of cost during our consultations, but it’s not until we have a detailed picture of what your project will include that we can quote the actual cost of the project. Design Drawings
